We are happy to celebrate our first year as a chapter with MWA, but we need your help to continue. Our president and treasurer will be stepping down and we are in need of volunteers to step up and help build our chapter as we move forward. Take a look at the descriptions below and join us on the 26th to discuss the future of our chapter.
• President – Directs the functions of the Chapter, speaks on behalf of the Chapter, and serves as a member of the MWA Board (attends monthly Board Meeting which occur most months of the year)
• Vice President — Assists the President to the extent requested by the President and presides in lieu of the President in the event of his or her absence or unavailability.
• Treasurer – Handles Chapter finances, including budgeting and budget requests, and submits semi-annual reports to MWA’s Treasurer (typically January and July)

All Chapter officers should also expect to:
• Meet together several times a year (virtually or in person) for planning
• Assist with contacting speakers and finalizing arrangements
• Attend and help host our monthly Chapter meetings (virtually for now, eventually in person)

We would love for you to join us as a member of the St. Mary's/Calvert Chapter of MWA and if you have a few hours per month to help us become a resource for the fellow writers of our counties please think about joining us.

The St. Mary's & Calvert Counties Chapter meets on the fourth Saturday of every month at 1:00 pm.
