Karen Osborn is the author of five novels: Patchwork, winner of the New York Times Notable Book of the Year Award, Between Earth and Sky, The River Road, Centerville, which won the 2013 Independent Publishers Gold Award for Fiction, and The Music Book (2020). She has published poetry and short stories nationally in journals such as Clapboard House, The Southern Review, Poet Lore, Kansas Quarterly, The Centennial Review, and The Wisconsin Review, and her books have been reviewed by The New York Times, USA Today, The Washington Post, The Chicago Tribune, The Cleveland Plain Dealer, The Seattle Stranger, The Richmond Times, Ladies Home Journal, and The Atlanta Journal Constitution. She teaches fiction writing for Fairfield University’s M.F.A. program.
