Presenter: Rissa Miller is an award-winning author, poetess, historian, and educator whose work explores the places where language, history, and imagination intersect. She is the author of the award-winning children's book Room with a Boo and the forthcoming 2nd edition of the poetry collection Goodnight Poet. She was an award-winning editor at The Baltimore Sun and former literary coordinator for the Poe House Museum. A frequent presenter for libraries, museums, conferences, and literary organizations, Rissa teaches workshops on folklore, creative writing, storytelling, and finding the extraordinary in everyday life. Her work has appeared in numerous anthologies and publications, and she is known for making literary craft approachable, practical, and inspiring for writers at every stage.
