First Fridays Zoom Registration

On the first Friday of every month all writers--poets, playwrights, novelists, memoirists, etc. are invited to spend time sharing their work. Each reader can read up to three poems or for five minutes. Email [email protected] if you'd like to be added to the open mic list. Please specify if you'd prefer to read toward the beginning, middle, or end of the list. We do our best to accommodate. You may also let the host know during the event, but this will place you toward the end of the open mic list. Click here for details.
Pamela Murray Winters lives and works in Maryland. Her first full-length poetry collection, The Unbeckonable Bird, was published in June 2018 by FutureCycle Press. Winters holds an MFA in poetry from Vermont College of Fine Arts. She has worked in various roles, including in the library of a Smithsonian Institution art museum. Her writing career began in the 1980s, with early poems appearing in Takoma Park Writers 1981 and later in journals such as Beltway Poetry Quarterly, Gargoyle, The Gettysburg Review, and Innisfree Poetry Journal.
