 Carroll Chapter Meeting

May 9th 1:00 - 3:00 - Finksburg Library Main Meeting Room - Finksburg, MD

Unreliable Narrators with speaker M. K. Sholund

This presentation is for writers who want to understand:
1.  How to write unreliable narrators and better understand who they are.
2.  Learn the four classifications of unreliable narrators and their characteristics (with examples from literature and movies)
3.  Get tips and the 3 “Golden Rules” on how to create unreliable narrators so when readers are fed misinformation through the source they trust most in a story, it'll come across as a satisfying way to add twists and turns in a narrative and build suspense.

M.K. Sholund's bio: M. K. is the author behind numerous flash fiction and short stories and one unpublished horror novel.  Her flash stories have appeared in regional anthologies including the “2025 Creatures, Crimes, and Creative Anthology” and soon to be released "Scary Stories to Tell At Cult Classic Anthology". She serves as the Carroll Chapter president with MWA, a member of the Carroll Tiqui critique group, and The Cult Classic Writers Group which meets in Stevensville, MD at Cult Classic Brewery. She is the author of 150+ Prompts: A Creative Writer's Journal and runs a Substack, Horror on the Page.

Meetings are now being held in person.
