Building off of our momentum of what makes a good series and making your books work for you, now how do we make the most of starting our series and what editing needs do we need to think about?
We are pleased to welcome back Kimberly Hunt from Revision Division to join us at the Owen Brown Community Center on 17 July at 7pm to talk to us about editing!
Every draft has needs—but not every draft needs everything at once. In this session, learn how to
assess your manuscript (or series-in-progress) and focus your time, budget, and energy where it
counts most. Let's match your editing efforts to your manuscript’s needs now, whether you’re
drafting book one or revising a long-running series. Smart editing isn’t about doing more—it’s
about doing it wisely.
Bio:
Kimberly Hunt is a freelance editor with Revision Division. While she primarily edits romance
for independent authors and publishers, her small team accepts other genres as well. She’s happy
to answer questions about writing and editing but beware as she can go on at length about her
passions: reading, running, and volunteering. In addition to her years of experience as a
developmental and line editor, she has certifications in copyediting and project management.
