Goal Setting for Writers
Join us as our own Carroll Chapter Vice President leads a discussion on tips for writers in setting their goals for 2025.
This is great for those who are you looking to:
- Finish a novel
- Want to publish a book, novel, poem, or essay but don't know next steps
- Thinking about attending your first writing conference or deciding on workshops to attend
- Start building your author platform or create an author website
- Have a book coming out this year, but trying to figure out a marketing timeline
Bring your ideas and desires of what you want to do as a writer this year to this meeting. Together we'll form these ideas into actionable goals through exercises and a guided presentation with the help of Emily Long. Do bring your laptop and/or journal/notepad with writing utensils to take notes. See you on the 11th!
==> If there's a threat of inclement weather, pay attention to local news stations for closings pertaining to Carroll County Libraries. If the library is closed, our meeting will be canceled. The president will also make a post on the Maryland Writers Facebook page about canceled meetings, so be sure to like the Maryland Writers Page and follow to get up to date news on our meetings (and feel free to share info about our meetings too on FB).
Again, meetings are held every second Saturday of the month from 1:00 - 3:00 at the Finksburg library's meeting room. Hope to see you this month!
