Many of us suffer from Mono-Mouth. This is a terrible disease that causes all the characters in our stories to sound like us. In this one hour workshop, Jeff (the Dialogue Doctor) will provide a new perspective on character voice and provide simple tools that will allow you to defeat Mono-Mouth and create character voices your readers will fall in love with. 

Presenter Profile

Jeff Elkins is the author of 13 novels and over 100 short stories. He podcasts, coaches writers, and edits as "The Dialogue Doctor." Jeff has coached over 300 authors in one-on-one sessions, helping them improve their character voices and dialogue. Over the past four years, he's been a featured speaker at writing conferences around the country and will be presenting at Inker's Con in 2025. For his day job, Jeff leads a team of writers and creatives to build artificial-emotion driven simulations that train professionals in difficult conversations. Jeff is also the author of the best-selling book on writing dialogue, "The Dialogue Doctor Will See You Now: How to Write Dialogue and Characters Readers will Love"
