Lora Berg writes poetry with a light touch from her home in Maryland. She is the author of The Mermaid Wakes in collaboration with visual artist Canute Caliste (Macmillan Caribbean). Lora’s poems can be found in Shenandoah, Colorado Review, The Beltway Quarterly, etc. She has served as U.S. cultural attaché abroad and holds an MFA from Johns Hopkins.

Writers, performers and lovers of verse are invited to spend time sharing work and experiences in support of the lonely sport of writing and building a community of MWA writers. There will be a featured reader/speaker with an open mic to follow. Click here for details.
