DirectionsSiki Dlanga (@SikiWrites) is a poet, writer and communication specialist working with the Indigenous Languages Action Forum (ILAF). She is on the South African Christian Leadership Initiative steering committee and is a founder of Freedom Mantle, dedicated to awakening a new generation of leaders in a post-Mandela South Africa. We will also hold elections for First Fridays open volunteer positions. Stephanie White will ask to continue as President. Donna Ferron is running for Vice President. We are still in need of a secretary. If you are interested in helping organize great poets for the Maryland Writers' Association, please email [email protected] or fill out the nomination form. The nomination form can be found under the 'About' tab and is labeled 'Board and Leadership Nomination Form.'
Writers, performers and lovers of verse are invited to spend time sharing their work and building a community of MWA writers. There will be a featured reader/speaker with an open mic to follow. Click here for details.
