Program: Dr. Huff will present an interactive review the self-publishing experience on Amazon.com with special emphasis on the many scams and pitfalls that authors may encounter. Topics will include: a general overview of the Amazon KDP publishing process and its many benefits, E-book, softcover, and hardcover similarities and differences, Copyright and ISBN/ASIN, Cover art and other graphics, Cover/jacket layout and design, Back cover synopsis/summary, Product placement (keywords and the like), Pricing and Advertising. Bring your questions and get ready to take notes, the more you know about the world of self-publishing the easier your own journey will be.
Presenter: Born in Texas and currently residing in Chesapeake Beach, Maryland, Dr. Stephen Donald Huff is an author of fiction novels, short stories and poetry. He is also a published scientist with expertise in bioinformatics (computational biology) and machine learning.
The St. Mary's & Calvert Counties Chapter meets on the fourth Saturday of every month at 1:00 pm.
