Scene Bootcamp: Whether you're writing fiction or creative nonfiction, you need to be able to create dramatic scenes; they are the building blocks for your story. In this workshop with award-winning author, Barbara Morrison, we will work on creating and revising scenes that capture the reader's interest and contribute to an outstanding story. We will look at the difference between scenes and exposition, creating scenes from exposition, and how to find the right balance between the two for your story. With discussion, examples, and writing exercises, we will explore how to write an engaging scene.
